<br />99 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1986-60 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2(a) <br />OF APPENDIX F, INTERIM DRAINAGE AND EROSION <br />CONTROL ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO EXTEND <br />THE APPLICATION OF SAID ORDINANCE TO TERRITORY <br />WITHIN THE EDWARDS AQUIFER AND SAN MARCOS <br />RIVER CORRIDOR OF SAID CITY, ADDING SUBSECTION <br />(g) TO SAID SECTION 2 PROVIDING FOR <br />CONTAMINANT REMOVAL FACILITIES, AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 2(a) of Appendix F, Interim <br />Drainage and Erosion Control Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2. Application of chapter. <br /> <br />(a) This chapter sets out special requirements for <br />the development of land located on hillsides, in areas <br />having erodible soils, the drainage basin of the <br />outcrop of the Edwards and Associated limestone (the <br />Edwards Recharge Zone), and the San Marcos River <br />Corridor, as defined in Chapter 36 of the City Code <br />within. . . <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That Section 2 of Appendix F, Interim Drainage <br />and Erosion Control Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, be amended by adding subsection (g) to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2. Application of chapter. <br /> <br /> <br />. . . <br /> <br /> <br />(g) Water quality detention and sedimentation <br />basins designed to remove stormwater contaminants that <br />are required by the San Marcos River Corridor Ordinance <br />and by Appendix C, Subdivisions, shall be required by <br />this chapter. plans for these contaminant removal <br />facilities shall be part of the site plans required by <br />this Chapter. Failure to construct and maintain these <br />contaminant removal facilities shall be a violation of <br />this Chapter. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. ~hat this Ordinance shall be in effect ten <br />(10) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in <br />a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the <br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading May 12, 1986. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading May 19,1986. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPR June 9, 1986. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />.E.
