Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, special meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 8:36 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. 8:30AM Executive Session in accordance with § 551.074 of the Texas Government Code: <br />Personnel Matters - to interview City Manager Finalists. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Mayor Guerrero and a second by Council Member <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted (5) five for, none (0) opposed, and two (2) absent from the <br />dais, Council Member Prather and Council Member Scott, to enter into executive session at <br />approximately 8:40 a.m. The motion carried. <br />The Council recessed at approximately 5:40 p.m. and reconvened at approximately 9:30 p.m. <br />4. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />The Council conducted interviews of the five finalists and provided direction to Staff to move <br />forward with negotiations of the selected finalist. Action will be placed on a future agenda. <br />5. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. This is an opportunity for the Press <br />
