<br /> 45 <br /> RESOLUTION 1985-97R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TRANSFERRING THE DUTIES, <br /> FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BICYCLE <br /> COMMITTEE TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD; <br /> ABOLISHING THE BICYCLE COMMITTEE, THE TAX <br /> EXEMPTION COMMITTEE FOR HISTORICAL SITES AND <br /> THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to ordinance duly adopted on June 11, 1984, <br /> the Sunset Advisory Cornmission of said City conducted a review of <br /> City boards, commissions and committees; and, <br /> WHEREAS, on June 10, 1985, a report of the said Sunset <br /> Advisory Commission was introduced at the regular meeting of the <br /> City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the report of said Sunset Advisory Commission <br /> recommended that the Bicycle Committee, the Urban Renewal Agency <br /> and the Tax Exemption Committee For Historical Sites be abolished; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council at said regular meeting directed <br /> that the functions of the Bicycle Committee be transferred to the <br /> Parks And Recreation Board; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the functions, duties and responsibilities of <br /> the Bicycle Committee of said City are hereby transferred to the <br /> Parks And Recreation Board. <br /> PART 2. That the Bicycle Committee, the Urban Renewal <br /> Agency and the Tax Exemption Committee For Historical Sites are <br /> hereby abolished. <br /> PART 3.
