49 RESOLUTION 1984-65R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, .APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDI'rIONS OF A FINANCIAL ADVISORY CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND FIRST SOUTHWEST COMPANY FOR PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES AS FINANCIAL ADVISOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ISSUANCE BY CITY OF CERTAIN BONDS AND/OR CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, desires to issue certain bonds and/or Certificates of Obligation for public improvements within said City; and, WHEREAS, said City Council desires to engage the serv ices of First Southwest Company as financial advisor in connection with said issuance; and, WHEREAS, First Southwest Company is willing to provide said services pursuant to the terms of the attached Financial Advisory contract; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the Financial Advisory Contract between First Southwest Company and the city of San Marcos, Texas, for the provision of professional services and facilities as financial advisor in connection with the issuance of certain bonds and/or certificates of obligation by said city, a copy of which contract is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby, approved in all respects. PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Emmie Craddock, is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City. PART 3.
