<br /> 9 <br /> RESOLUTION 1984-77R <br /> A REffiWTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE PROVISIONS OF AN EXCHANGE <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AND THE <br /> PEDERNALES ELEC'IRIC CO-OP, INC. AS 10 THE ELEC'IRICAL <br /> SYSTEM AT THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AI RID RT AND <br /> AUTHORI ZI NG THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS 10 <br /> EXECUTE SAID EXCHAJ:\K;E AGREEMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Airport Manaç¡er of the San Marcos Municipal Ai rport <br />has informed the City Council that the current electrical system at the <br />Ai rport is in a very deteriorated and inferior condition, which makes <br />continued electrical service to the Airport uncertain and inefficient; <br />and, <br /> WHEREAS, dependable and efficient electrical service is a <br />necessity for the Airport, if safe and efficient Airport operations and <br />services are to be provided by the City of San Marcos; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Federnales Electric Co-Op, Inc. is aç¡reeable to <br />providing a new electrical system to the Airport in exchange only for <br />the ownership rights to the current deteriorated and inferior materials <br />and equipment of the current electrical system, such aç¡reement being <br />evidenced in the attached Exchanged Þqreerœnt between the City of San <br />Marcos and Pedernales Electric Co-Op, Inc.; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the San Marcos Ai rport Conunission has reviewed the <br />provisions of the attached Exchange Þqreement between the City and <br />Pedernales Electric Co-Op, Inc. and recormœnds that such Exchange <br />Þqreement be approved by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT REffiLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the Exchange Þqreement between the City and the <br />Pedernales Electric Co-Op, Inc. being attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein for all intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby <br />approved in all respects. <br /> PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Ð:mnie <br />Craddock, be, and she is hereby authorized to execute said Exchange <br />Þqreement on behalf of said City. <br /> PART 3.
