<br /> 11 <br /> RESOLUTION 1984-107R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING <br /> FREE PARKING IN METERED PARKING STALLS IN <br /> THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT FROM <br /> WEDNESDAY I DECEMBER 19, 1984 THROUGH <br /> FRIDAY, JANUARY 4, 1985; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested to <br /> authori ze a free parking meter holiday in the Central <br /> Business District during the coming holiday season; and, <br /> WHERAS, the City Council desires to encourage the <br /> citizens of San Marcos to patroni ze local businesses by <br /> removing metered parking during the Christmas and New Year's <br /> shopping season; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the enforcement of metered parking in the <br /> Central Business District of San Marcos, Texas, be suspended <br /> beginning on Wednesday, December 19, 1984 and ending on <br /> Friday, January 4, 1985. <br /> PART 2.
