RESOLUTION 2014 -50R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A "TRANSMISSION PLANNING DATA <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT" ( "AGREEMENT ") THAT SUPPLEMENTS <br />THE " ERCOT MARKET AGREEMENT" DATED 1 -31 -2001 ENTERED <br />INTO AMONG THE CITY, THE ELECTRIC RELIABILITY COUNCIL <br />OF TEXAS ( "ERCOT ") AND THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER <br />AUTHORITY ( "LCRA "); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The City, ERCOT and LCRA ENTERED INTO A Market Participant Agency Agreement <br />dated January 31, 2001 ( "ERCOT Market Agreement 2001 ") authorizing City authorized LCRA <br />to act on the City's behalf for any activity governed by the ERCOT Protocols; and <br />2. LCRA and the City desire to more clearly define between themselves, the duties, roles, <br />and relationships with regard to LCRA's role as ERCOT Market Agent and the City's role as <br />ERCOT Market Principal as agreed to in the ERCOT Market Agreement 2001; and <br />3. The Agreement supplements the ERCOT Market Agreement 2001 to define the duties, <br />roles, and relationships as the City's ERGOT Market Agent. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The San Marcos City Council hereby approves the Agreement attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A and authorizes the City Manager to execute the Agreement. <br />PART 2.
