RESOLUTION 2014 -63R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO D2D <br />BACKUP APPLIANCES FROM UNIQUE DIGITAL, INC. FOR THE <br />CITY'S INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT IN THE <br />TOTAL AMOUNT OF $272,000.00 THROUGH THE TEXAS <br />COMPTROLLER OF PUBLIC ACCOUNT'S DEPARTMENT OF <br />INFORMATION RESOURCES ( "DIR ") PROGRAM (CONTRACT DIR - <br />SDD- 1418); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE <br />TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The purchase of two D2D Backup Appliances from Unique Digital, Inc. <br />for the City's Information Technology Department in the total amount of $272,000.00 (including <br />shipping) through the Texas Comptroller of Public Account's DIR Program (Contract DIR -SDD- <br />1418) is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee, is authorized to execute appropriate <br />purchasing documents on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
