110 RESOLUTION 1983-69R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING M~ AGREEMENT BE'rvvEEN SAID CITY AND THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE INSTALLATION, CONsrfRUC'rION, EXISTENCE~ USE~ OPERATION AND IvLA..INTENANCE OF rrRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSEC'rIONS OF THE EAST Al\fD vŒST ACCESS ROADS TO INTERS'rATE HIGHWAY 35 WITH STA'rE I-UGHvvAY l23, STATE HIGHWAY 82 SOUTH M1D STATE HIGHWAY 82 NORTH; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEjVIENT AND TRANSMIT SAID AGREEMENT TO THE STATE OF TEXAS AND DECLARING Jill EFFEC'rIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the State of Texas has recognized the need for traffic signals at the intersections of the access roads to Interstate Highway 35 with State Highway l23, State Highway 82 South and State Highway 82 North; and, v'lHE REAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, also recognizes the need for this signalization; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the agreement between the city of San [Vlarcos, Texas, and the State of Texas, for the installation, construction, existence, use, operation, and maintenance of traff signals at the intersections of the east and west access roads to Interstate Highway 35 with State Highway 123, State Highway 82 South and State Highway 82 North, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby approved. PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San JVlarcos, Texas, Emmie Craddock, be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said City. PART 3. That the Mayor of said City, be, and she is hereby, authorized to transmit said agreement to the State of Texas for appropriate action. PART 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this 12 day of December , 1983. Ermnie Craddock s city Secretary
