RESOLUTION 2014 -75R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AWARDING AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR TREE TRIMMING AND <br />PRUNING SERVICES TO ASPLUNDH TREE EXPERT COMPANY IN THE <br />ESTIMATED ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $50,140.00 FOR THE COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION AND THE <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, TRANSPORTATION DIVISION <br />CONTINGENT UPON THE BIDDER'S TIMELY SUBMISSION OF <br />SUFFICIENT INSURANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S BID <br />DOCUMENTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The award of an annual contract to Asplundh Tree Expert Company for <br />Tree Trimming and Pruning Services (IFB #214 -011) in the estimated annual amount of <br />$50,140.00 for the Community Services Department, Parks and Recreation Division and the <br />Public Services Department, Transportation Division contingent upon the bidder's timely <br />submission of sufficient insurance in accordance with the City's bid documents is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the appropriate <br />purchasing documents on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
