ORDINANCE NO. 2014-31 <br />30AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS REMOVING THE DESIGNATION A NO PARKING <br />TOW -AWAY ZONE AT ALL TIMES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE 300 TO <br />400 BLOCKS OF HUGHSON DRIVE FROM ALGARITA ROAD TO <br />CRADDOCK AVENUE; AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER <br />MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY <br />CODE TO REFLECT THE REMOVAL OF SUCH DESIGNATION; AND <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. Residents have requested the removal of the designation of a no parking tow - <br />away zone at all times on both sides of the 300 to 400 blocks of Hughson Drive from Algarita <br />Road to Craddock Avenue originally established by Ordinance No. 2013 -47. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. The designation of a no parking tow -away zone at all times, on both sides <br />of the 300 to 400 blocks of Hughson Drive from Algarita Road to Craddock Avenue, as shown in <br />the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof for all purposes, is hereby <br />removed. <br />SECTION 2. The Traffic Register maintained under section 82.067 of the San Marcos <br />City Code is amended to reflect the removal of the no parking tow -away designation in the area <br />described in Section 1. <br />SECTION 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is <br />held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of <br />this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br />SECTION 4. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in <br />conflict with this ordinance are repealed. Specifically, Ordinance No. 2013 -47 is repealed, in <br />part, as to the area described in Section 1, but shall, otherwise, remain in full force and effect as <br />to the remainder of Hughson Drive subject to said ordinance. <br />SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in effect upon adoption on second reading. <br />
