RESOLUTION NO. 2014-123R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A 2005 FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE VEHICLE TO THE CITY OF MARTINDALE FOR A PRICE OF 51,500.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO TRANSFER TITLE TO AND SELL THE VEHICLE TO THE CITY OF MARTINDALE; AND DECLARING EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. The City of San Marcos Police Department owns a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria marked police vehicle that no longer serves the City's purposes and is, thus, functionally obsolete for the City's purposes and is surplus property. 2. The City of Martindale of a Texas municipality, has determined that the vehicle is suitable for its law enforcement uses and wishes to purchase the vehicle. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The above Recitals are hereby found to be true and correct findings of the City Council of San Marcos, and are approved and incorporated herein. SECTION 2. The sale of a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria marked police vehicle (Unit No. 0514) to the City of Martindale for a price of $1,500.00 is hereby approved. SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorized to execute any and all documents as necessary to transfer title to and sell the vehicle to the City of Martindale. SECTION 4. The vehicle is to be sold as -is, with no representations or warranties, whether express, implied or otherwise, as to its condition, performance or fitness for a particular purpose. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
