RESOLUTION 2014 -156R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN ANNUAL CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY AND GREEN GUY RECYCLING, INC. FOR THE <br />PROVISION OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY <br />PERSONNEL FOR THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN <br />THE TOTAL ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $33,280.00; RATIFYING THE <br />PURCHASING MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THE PURCHASING <br />DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; APPROVING AN <br />EXTENSION OF THE ANNUAL CONTRACT IN AN ESTIMATED <br />ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 CONTINGENT UPON THE CITY'S <br />RECEIPT OF EDWARDS AQUIFER AUTHORITY FUNDING FOR THE <br />EXTENSION PERIOD; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. The City administratively awarded an annual contract for the provision of Household <br />Hazardous Waste Facility personnel (the "Contract ") effective January 1, 2014, as a result of a <br />competitive bid process (IFB 213 -287) to Green Guy Recycling, Inc. in the total annual amount <br />of $33,280.00. <br />2. The City wishes to extend the Contract for the first one year extension term at the <br />estimated annual amount of $30,000.00 as allowed under the Contract provisions. <br />3. Both parties agree to this first extension of the Contract with a Consumer Price Index <br />increase of 1.58 %. <br />4. Because of the extension, the total cost of the Contract will now exceed $50,000.00 <br />and therefore requires City Council approval. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Contract between the City and Green Guy Recycling, Inc. for the <br />provision of Household Hazardous Waste Facility personnel in the total annual amount of <br />$33,280.00 is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager's execution of the purchasing documents on behalf <br />of the City is ratified. <br />PART 3. The extension of the Contract in the estimated annual amount of $30,000.00 <br />contingent upon the City's receipt of Edwards Aquifer Authority funding for the extension period <br />
