Hankins <br />Gayle Grassle <br />George Boeker <br />Donna Farley <br /> <br />Also Present: Mark Hendricks, Patty Wenk, Charles Revell, Dave Sanders, <br />Austin Curlee, Wayne Moore, Melissa Millecam, Bob Higgs and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Monds called the meeting to order at 6 :15 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced a public hearing on the proposed water, sewer <br />and electric utility rates. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and <br />asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the propesed rates. No <br />one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. The Ordinances <br />on the rate increases are scheduled for Council adoption on September <br />26, 1988. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced a discussion regarding the water and wastewater <br />utility rate options. Ms. Kissler stated Option 1 offers water conser- <br />vation. Mr. Plummer expressed interest in Option 4 but was in favor <br />of Option 1. It was consensus of Council to consider Option 1. <br /> <br />The City Council received the official appraisal roll for 1988 which <br />was certified by the Hays County Appraisal District. <br /> <br />The City Council received the effective tax rate for 1988 and the tax <br />rate calculations from Ms. Farley. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval to hold a Public <br />Hearing on a proposal to increase total tax revenues from properties <br />on the tax roll in 1987 by more than three percent. Mr. Brown moved <br />for approval to hold the Public Hearing and Mr. Hernandez seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Council directed the Public Hearing on the proposal to increase <br />total tax revenues from properties on the tax roll in 1987 by more than <br />three percent be held September 19,1988 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:40 <br />ed by Mr. Moore. <br /> <br />p.m. on motion made by Mr. Brown <br /> <br />~ÞJ'L~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />and second- <br /> <br />ß~8' ~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
