I ME <br />1. The City has received a proposed Interlocal Agreement by and between the Harris <br />County Department of Education and the City of San Marcos and has found it to be acceptable <br />and in the best interests of the City and its citizens <br />2. The City of San Marcos, Texas, pursuant to the authority granted under Section <br />271.101 to 271.102 of the Local Government Code desires to participate in the Choice Partners <br />Cooperative Program (the "Program ") sponsored by the Harris County Department of Education <br />and is of the opinion that participation in the Program will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers <br />through the anticipated savings realized. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITE' OF SAID MARC ®Sy <br />TEXAS: <br />PART. 1. The terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Agreement between the <br />City and the Harris County Department of Education been reviewed by the City and found to be <br />acceptable and in the best interest of the City and its citizens and this Interlocal Agreement for <br />the City's participation in the Choice Partners Cooperative Program is hereby in all things <br />approved. <br />PART 2. This Interlocal Agreement is entered into pursuant to the Interlocal <br />Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, as amended and Sections 271.101 <br />to 271.102 of the Local Government Code. <br />PART 3. The City's Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, under the direction of <br />the City is hereby designated to act for the City in all matters related to the Harris County <br />Department of Education's Choice Partners Cooperative Program including the designation of <br />specific contracts in which the City desires to participate. <br />1 <br />
