Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the Budget Workshop of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 5:40 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 in <br />the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, 'Texas 78666. <br />r. r 1 111111 � I IIINIFIIIIIII I I IIIIIIi i i M <br />Council Member Thomason departed early at 7:40 p.m. <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott departed early at 7:56 p.m. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan <br />Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, <br />Council Member Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson <br />1. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the preliminary Fiscal <br />Year 2015 -2016 Budget, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Heather Hurlbert, Director of Finance and Steve Parker, Assistant City <br />Manager /CFO, provided the Council with a presentation on the proposed <br />budget. Council provided direction to move forward with the current Hotel <br />-Motel Tax recommendations as proposed. Including an additional one time <br />request of $5000 for mural arts. The Council also requested to see a <br />breakdown of expenditures from the Convention and Visitors Bureau. The <br />Council would like to see feedback from the Greenbelt Alliance for Ecotourism. <br />Staff will change "one -way / two -way" to Guadalupe /LBJ and bring back an <br />update regarding the downtown parking plan and implementation to the <br />Council. Staff will also bring back the following regarding the airport on <br />August 18, 2015: <br />Listing of all monies received by the airport, both City and Federal <br />Airport T- Hanger and shelter fees for consideration <br />Comparisons of other airports of like size. <br />.
