71 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 6, 1993 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Bill Plummer Council Members Billy G. I Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced a ten-minute comment period with the city Council. No one wished to speak. Mayor Morris introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR LOT 15, MCKIE'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME X, PAGE 547 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1025 GRAVEL STREET AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. Carmen Soto advised the Council she is in favor of the amendment, so she can build a home on the property. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration removing a Resolution from the table, which was tabled November 22, 1993, to consider adoption of a Resolution nominating a Candidate for the Appraisal Review Board of the Hays County Appraisal District for the period beginning January 1, 1994. Mr. Guerra moved the Resolution be removed from the table and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris then introduced for consideration adoption of the Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR THE APPRAISAL REVIEW BOARD OF THE HAYS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1994; DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE NAME OF THE NOMINEE TO THE CHIEF APPRAISER OF THE HAYS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
