FILED to <br />At L, LL. o'c",Iock,L M <br />SEP 2 x,981 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1981-68 <br />CITY SECRETARY <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE COkAFp f Sari Marcos <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1980-37 <br />ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1980, WHICH SET FORTH AN <br />ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING <br />EACH DEPARTMENT, DIVISION AND OFFICE OF THE MUNI- <br />CIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1980, AND ENDING ON SEPTEM- <br />BER 30, 1981, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VAR- <br />IOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE TO REVISE <br />SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; <br />ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />after notice and public hearing, adopted the budget for said City for <br />the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, and ending September 30, <br />1981, on September 8, 1980; and, <br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the <br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for said <br />fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds and purposes <br />of such estimate; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council declares that a <br />public necessity exists which requires amendment of said budget; now, <br />therefore, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1980-37, adopted September 8, 1980, <br />S which adopted the City of San Marcos, Texas, budget for the fiscal year <br />beginning October 1, 1980, and ending September 30, 1981, be, and the <br />same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein, in words and figures as shown therein, <br />for all intents and purposes. <br />SECTION 2. That the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, for said fiscal year, be, and the same is hereby, approved and <br />adopted in all respects. <br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br />emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of <br />the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three separate <br />meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expira- <br />tion of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be sus- <br />pended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its <br />adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circulation within <br />the City. <br /> <br />1981. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />PASSED, APPROVED <br />AND ED thi <br />8th day of September <br />Emmie Craddock <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />anis K.
