RESOLUTION NO. 1981-74R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT <br />TO SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY-ED14ARDS <br />AQUIFER RESEARCH AND DATA CENTER.FOR THE PRO- <br />VISION OF WATER QUALITY ANALYSES DURING A <br />TWENTY-FOUR WEEK PERIOD IN CONJUNCTION WITH <br />A UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY WASTE- <br />WATER TREATMENT PROJECT AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />115 <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has received a <br />grant from the United States Department of Energy (No. 808612066) <br />to investigate the use of solar energy in the treatment of <br />wastewater; and, <br />WHEREAS, on September 23, 1980, said City entered into a <br />Letter of Agreement with David Venhuizen, the creator of the <br />project which is the subject of the grant, for one implementa- <br />tion of the project; and, <br />WHEREAS, under the terms of said Letter of Agreement, cer- <br />tain testing of wastewater samples was required to be conducted <br />by City; and, <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted March 23, 1981, the City <br />Council of said City approved the terms and conditions of a <br />contract between said City and Southwest Texas State University <br />Edwards Aquifer Research and Data Center for the provision of <br />water quality analyses over a period of twenty-four (24) weeks, <br />said analyses to fullfill City's responsibilities under the <br />terms and conditions of said Letter of Agreement; and, <br />WHEREAS, said City Council has received a request for final <br />payment to Southwest Texas State University Edwards Aquifer <br />Research and Data Center and a statement from the Department of <br />Public Works that the testing has been completed pursuant to <br />the terms of the contract; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of said contract with South- <br />west Texas State University Edwards Aquifer Research and Data <br />Center, the sum of Three Hundred Fifty One Dollars ($351.00) <br />is now due and payable; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That the sum of Three Hundred Fifty One Dollars <br />($351.00) be paid to Southwest Texas State University Edwards <br />Aquifer Research and Data Center as final payment for the pro- <br />vision of water quality analyses pursuant to the terms and <br />conditions of the Contract between the City of San Marcos and <br />Southwest Texas State University approved by said City on March <br />2s, 1981. <br />PART 2. That said payment be made from line item 20-86- <br />5261.of the 1981-1982 City of San Marcos Budget. <br />PART 3.
