Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Jean Keas and appoint Bebky Bray, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moore present to vote on this item - 7:50 p.m.). The Council rescheduled the remaining appointment for the next meeting. Mayor Morris introduced Îùr consideration approval of one appointment to the Emergency Medical Services Board. No appointment was made and will be r€3cheduled. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the San Marcos Industrial Development Corporation. Mr. Hart moved to reappoint curtis Jenkins, which passed unanimously. The Council rescheduled the remaining two appointments. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of seven appointments to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Ms. Kissler moved to appoint Randy Chipman (Professional Engineer), appoint Bob Ogletree (General Contractor), appoint Tommy Mills (Plumber), Herb Sanchez (General Contractor), Tommy Hamilton (HVAC Contractor) and appoint Fred Spiechermann (Gilmon Construction Company), which passed unanimously. Mr. Hart stated the electricians and plumbers do not think they are adequately represented on the Board and fear the Board will not understand their work. The Council discussed with the city Manager the need for the Board to be educated on the needs of the different professions. The Council will reschedule the remaining appointment. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing on an annexation, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 23.41 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, FRONTING ON THE NORTHWEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH CENTER POINT ROAD IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS (LOWMAN PROPERTY), THIS LAND BEING LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE * Mr. Moore present at 7:50 p.m.
