Womack <br />city Attorney Mark Taylor <br />Director of MIS Ramona Brown <br />Director of Finance Bill White <br />Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb <br />Director of Public Works George Boeker <br />Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br />Director of SMEU Bob Higgs <br />Director of Airport Jack Doughty <br />Director of Env. and Engineering Steve Jenkins <br />~ <br /> <br />Also Present: Joe castillo, Collette Duran, Kim Bradley, Frances <br />Emory, Harvey Mathews, Beth Wolpman, Jim Byrn, sitha Klipple, <br />Collete Davis, Jane Hughson, Kelley Franks, Frances Stovall, Bob <br />Beebe, Lolly Guerra, John Diaz, Paul Contreras, Bobbie Gilbert, <br />Allyn Gil, Adam Laubach, Robert Mooney, Joe Cox and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three <br />appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mr. Plummer moved <br />to appoint Jean Keas and appoint Bebky Bray, which passed <br />unanimously (Mr. Moore present to vote on this item - 7:50 p.m.). <br />The Council rescheduled the remaining appointment for the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced Îùr consideration approval of one <br />appointment to the Emergency Medical Services Board. No appointment <br />was made and will be r€3cheduled. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three <br />appointments to the San Marcos Industrial Development Corporation. <br />Mr. Hart moved to reappoint curtis Jenkins, which passed <br />unanimously. The Council rescheduled the remaining two <br />appointments. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of seven <br />appointments to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals. <br />Ms. Kissler moved to appoint Randy Chipman (Professional Engineer), <br />appoint Bob Ogletree (General Contractor), appoint Tommy Mills <br />(Plumber), Herb Sanchez (General Contractor), Tommy Hamilton (HVAC <br />Contractor) and appoint Fred Spiechermann (Gilmon Construction <br />Company), which passed unanimously. Mr. Hart stated the <br />electricians and plumbers do not think they are adequately <br />represented on the Board and fear the Board will not understand <br />their work. The Council discussed with the city Manager the need <br />for the Board to be educated on the needs of the different <br />professions. The Council will reschedule the remaining appointment. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing on an <br />annexation, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 23.41 <br />ACRES, MORE OR LESS, FRONTING ON THE NORTHWEST RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />LINE OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH CENTER <br />POINT ROAD IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS (LOWMAN PROPERTY), THIS LAND <br />BEING LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE <br /> <br />* Mr. Moore present at 7:50 p.m. <br />
