Mr. Moore moved to <br />appoint Andrea Heaberlin and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Diane <br />Arredondo, which passed unanimously. The remaining appointment will <br />be rescheduled at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one <br />appointment to the Ethics Review Commission to complete a vacancy. <br />Mayor Morris moved to appoint Lunelle Anderson, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration appointments to the <br />Convention Facility/Recreation Facility Task Force. The City <br />Council discussed how many members they wished to appoint. It was <br />consensus to appoint 15 members, each Council Member appointing two <br />and the Mayor appointing three requiring each member to reside in <br />the City limits. The appointments will be rescheduled for February <br />8. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration appointments to the <br />Mayor's Commission on Youth (Temporary). The Council wants the <br />members who have previously been appointed to remain on the <br />Commission. Several appointments need to be.made to fill vacancies <br />of students who have graduated and a parent who will no longer be <br />able to serve on the Commission. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Deborah <br />Banks (parent) and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Belinda Byas <br />(student), which passed unanimously. The remaining appointments <br />will be rescheduled for February 8. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL ~F THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1992-1993 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE BLANCO RIVER WATER LINE <br />PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />* Messrs.~Guerra and Plummer were not present at this'meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
