Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the joint workshop meeting oft the San Marcos City <br />Council and the Cemetery Commission was called to order by Mayor Guerrero <br />at 5:31 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the San Marcos Council <br />Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />9MV011[4M <br />Members Present on City Council: Mayor Guerrero, Council Member <br />Hughson, Council Member Prewitt, Council Member Thomaides, Council <br />Member Thomason <br />Members absent on City Council: Mayor Pro Tem Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro <br />Tem Scott <br />Members present on Cemetery Comission: Mary Williams, David Elliott, <br />Delores Gibbs, Roger Smith, Bobby Moore, Nancy Scott <br />Members absent on Cemetery Commission: Mike Willoughby <br />1. Receive a presentation and hold discussion including, but not limited to, Cemetery <br />Board responsibilities, fees for plots, cemetery expansion, cemetery funds, and <br />potential amendments to Chapter 22 - Cemeteries in the San Marcos City Code of <br />Ordinances, and provide direction to Staff and /or the Cemetery Commission. <br />Cemetery Commission Chair, Mary Williams, provided a presentation <br />regarding Fees, expansion of current cemetery and possible land acquisition, <br />continued funding from Council for Cemetery improvements, and possible <br />amendments to the current Cemetery Ordinance. <br />Council directed staff to bring back the Ordinance to make revisions to the <br />fees, discuss incorporating the rules and regulations of the commission into the <br />ordinance, and continue discussion on the funding of the cemetery to determine <br />the needs of various improvement projects. <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
