RESOLUTION 2016-50R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE <br /> NORTH LBJ LIFT STATION PROJECT IN ORDER TO FACILITATE <br /> EMERGENCY REPAIRS AT THE MAIN LIFT STATION IN THE <br /> TOTAL AMOUNT OF $235,200.00; RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER'S <br /> EXECUTION OF THE CHANGE ORDER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The Public Services Department, Water/Wastewater Division personnel discovered a <br /> hole and crack in one of the four discharge pipes at the Main Lift Station which could have led to <br /> a catastrophic failure. <br /> 2. Due to the potential for such failure, it was necessary to include the required <br /> emergency repairs by change order into the North LBJ Main Lift Station Project currently being <br /> constructed by Prota Construction. <br /> 3. The dollar amount of this change order requires that it be approved by City Council. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. Change Order No. 1 to the North LBJ Lift Station Project in order to facilitate <br /> emergency repairs at the Main Lift Station in the total amount of$235,200 is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager's execution of Change Order No. 1 on behalf of the City is <br /> ratified. <br /> PART 4.
