RESOLUTION NO. 2019-146R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />AND HAYS COUNTY FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE HAYS <br />COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The City of San Marcos and Hays County entered into an Interlocal Agreement <br />("Agreement") establishing the Hays County Narcotics Task Force ("Task Force") in 1998 and <br />later amended the Agreement in 2007. <br />2. The City and the County now desire to amend the Agreement to acknowledge the <br />annual budgetary process that each entity is legally required to follow and provide greater <br />flexibility regarding staffing of the Task Force. <br />3. The City is authorized the enter into the Interlocal Agreement pursuant to the <br />Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Interlocal Agreement with Hays County providing for the continuation <br />of the Hays County Narcotics Task Force is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the Interlocal <br />Agreement on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
