RESOLUTION NO. 2019-193R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND HAYS COUNTY ANIMAL HOSPITAL, PC FOR THE <br />PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY SERVICES FOR <br />ANIMALS UNDER THE CARE AND SUPERVISION OF THE SAN <br />MARCOS REGIONAL ANIMAL SHELTER IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT <br />NOT -TO -EXCEED $140,000.00 FOR THE INITIAL ONE-YEAR TERM <br />WITH OPTIONS TO RENEW FOR UP TO FIVE YEARS, WITH ANNUAL <br />PRICE INCREASES, FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT PRICE OF $850,000.00; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The professional services agreement between the City and Hays County Animal <br />Hospital, PC is approved for the provision of professional veterinary services for animals under <br />the care and supervision of the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter in an annual amount not -to - <br />exceed $140,000.00 for the initial one-year term with options to renew for up to five years, with <br />price increases of $15,000 per each additional year, for a total contract price of $850,000.00. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the professional <br />services agreement on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
