MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 11, 2000 PRESENT: Mayor David Chiu Mayor Pro-Tern * Earl Moseley, Jr. Deputy Mayor Pro-Tern Louis Doiron, Jr. Cou:pcil Members Jane Hughson Joe B. Cox, Jr. Paul Mayhew Martha Castex Tatum City Manager Larry Gilley Deputy City Manager Laura Huffman City Clerk Janis K. Womack City Attorney Mark Taylor Municipal Court Judge Ross Allegro Mayor Chiu called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Chiu introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.074, to discuss the evaluation of public officers (City Manager, City Attorney, City Clerk and Municipal Court Judge). Mr. Mayhew moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 5:08 p.m. and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moseley present at this time - 5:08 p.m.). Mr. Doiron moved the Council recess from Executive Session at 6:55 p.m. until later in the evening following the Regular Meeting and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Cox not present to vote on this item). Mr. Doiron moved the Council resume the Executive Session from earlier in the evening and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Doiron then moved t"he Council adjourn into Executive Session at 9:12 p.m. to continue the evaluation of public officers and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Mayhew moved the Council reconvene at 10:00 p.m. and Ms. Tatum seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. * Mr. Moseley present at 5:08 p.m.
