RESOLUTION 2009-125R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A ROUTINE AIRPORT <br />MAINTENANCE PROGRAM GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR <br />ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL <br />AIRPORT; CERTIFYING THAT CITY MATCHING FUNDS FOR THIS <br />AGREEMENT ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXPENDITURE OF THE MATCHING FUNDS; RATIFYING THE <br />CITY MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT AND <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />ACT IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On August 29, 1996 the Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") <br />implemented the Routine Airport Maintenance Program ("RAMP") to assist with routine <br />maintenance for general aviation airports. <br />2. The City has participated in RAMP since 1997. <br />18 3. The City wishes to accept this grant award from TxDOT for assistance through the <br />RAMP (CSJ Number M014SMRCO). <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached FY-2010 RAMP grant agreement (CSJ Number M014SMRCO) <br />with TxDOT for routine maintenance of the San Marcos Municipal Airport is approved. <br />PART 2. The City certifies that approximately $50,000.00 in local matching funds for <br />RAMP related activities by the City are available at this time and that the expenditure of these <br />matching funds is approved. <br />PART 3. The City Manager's execution of the grant agreement and related documents <br />is ratified and the City Manager is authorized to act in all matters related to the grant agreement <br />on behalf of the City. <br />PART 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 5th day of October, 2009. <br />1
