RESOLUTION NO. 2020-264R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A LIST OF QUALIFIED FIRMS TO <br />PROVIDE EMINENT DOMAIN LEGAL SERVICES TO THE CITY ON AN <br />AS -NEEDED BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. The City issued a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") No. 220-217 for on-call <br />eminent domain legal services for various City projects. <br />2. On September 3, 2020 the City received Statements of Qualifications ("SOQ") <br />from three law firms. <br />3. An evaluation committee was formed for the purpose of evaluating the SOQ's and <br />selecting the most qualified firms for placement on an on-call list. <br />4. The committee selected the three firms to be on the on-call list for eminent domain <br />legal services for a period of five years under the terms of master agreements with the City in <br />amounts not to exceed $100,000. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. Based on the evaluator's scores, the following firms are approved for placement <br />on the City's on-call list of qualified eminent domain law firms for various City projects for a <br />period of five years subject to the terms of master agreements to include a not -to -exceed amount <br />of $100,000 with each firm: <br />A. Baker Moran Doggett Ma + Dobbs located in Plano, Texas; <br />B. Ross Molina Oliveros, PC located in San Antonio, Texas; <br />C. Sandra Moreno located in Austin, Texas. <br />PART 2. This resolution will be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED on December 15, 2020. <br />ane Flughson <br />Mayor <br />
