<br />CERTIFICATE FOR ORDINANCE <br /> I, the undersigned City Clerk of the City of San Marcos, Texas, hereby certify as follows: <br /> 1. The City Council of said City convened in Regular Session on August 3, 2021, at the <br />regular meeting place thereof and as a virtual meeting broadcast on the internet and local cable <br />television channels, and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and members of said <br />City Council, to-wit: <br /> Jane Hughson, Mayor <br /> Maxfield Baker, Councilmember <br /> Saul Gonzales, Councilmember <br /> Alyssa Garza, Councilmember <br /> Shane Scott, Councilmember <br /> Mark Gleason, Councilmember <br /> Melissa Derrick, Councilmember <br />and all of said persons were present, except for the following: none; thus constituting a quorum. <br />Whereupon, among other business, the following was transacted at said meeting: a written <br />Ordinance entitled <br />ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 2021 FOR (1) <br />CONSTRUCTING, IMPROVING, RENOVATING AND EQUIPPING PUBLIC <br />SAFETY FACILITIES TO INCLUDE THE POLICE AND FIRE <br />DEPARTMENTS AND RELATED EMERGENCY AND TRAINING <br />FACILITIES AND RELATED WATER, WASTEWATER, DRAINAGE, <br />STREETS, SIDEWALKS, PARKING, INFRASTRUCTURE AND OTHER <br />RELATED COSTS, AND (2) PAYING THE LEGAL FEES AND OTHER <br />SUCH COSTS INCURRED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; INCLUDING <br />THE COSTS OF ISSUING THE BONDS AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF AN <br />AD VALOREM TAX IN SUPPORT OF THE BONDS; APPROVING AN <br />OFFICIAL STATEMENT, A BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT, A PAYING <br />AGENT/REGISTRAR AGREEMENT, AND OTHER DOCUMENTS <br />RELATED TO THE ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS <br />was duly introduced for consideration of said City Council. It was then duly moved and <br />seconded that said Ordinance be passed; and, after due discussion, said motion, carrying with it <br />the passage of said Ordinance, prevailed and carried by the following vote: <br /> AYES: 7 NOES: 0 ABSTENTIONS: 0 <br /> 2. A true, full and correct copy of the aforesaid Ordinance passed at the meeting <br />described in the above and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate; said <br />Ordinance has been duly recorded in the official minutes of said City Council; the above and <br />foregoing paragraph is a true, full and correct excerpt from said minutes of said meeting <br />pertaining to the passage of said Ordinance; the persons named in the above and foregoing <br />paragraph, at the time of said meeting and the passage of said Ordinance, were the duly chosen, <br />San Marcos.EURB 2021.OrdCert <br /> <br />
