RESOLUTION NO. 2022-185R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,TEXAS APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH HILL COUNTRY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH & MENTAL RETARDATION CENTER D/B/A HILL COUNTRY MENTAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES CENTERS ("HCMHDD") FOR THE PROVISION OF SERVICES INCLUDING A QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL FROM HCMHDD TO BE ASSIGNED TO THE SAN MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT'S MENTAL HEALTH UNIT AND AUTHORIZING USE OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF 2021 ("ARPA") FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR THIS PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $425,000.00 TO PAY FOR THESE SERVICES THROUGH THE CALENDAR YEAR 2026; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The attached Interlocal Agreement (the "Agreement") with Hill Country Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center d/b/a Hill Country Mental Health and Development Disabilities Centers("HCMHDD")for services including a Qualified Mental Health Professional from HCMHDD to be assigned to the San Marcos Police Department's Mental Health Unit is approved. PART 2. The City's funding for services and activities under the Agreement from funds previously approved for this project by City Council in an amount not to exceed$425,000.00 is approved. PART 3. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City. PART 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
