RESOLUTION NO. 2023-145R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A ONE-YEAR STATE USE CONTRACT <br /> WITH EASTER SEALS-CENTRAL TEXAS AS CERTIFIED THROUGH <br /> WORKQUEST, A STATE PURCHASING COOPERATIVE, FOR <br /> VEGETATION,LITTER CONTROL AND LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE <br /> IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,261,436.03; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THIS <br /> AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The procurement of services described in the attached Agreement with Easter <br /> Seals-Central Texas is approved as an exception to competitive bidding requirements pursuant to <br /> the provisions of Chapter 122, Human Resources Code. <br /> PART 2. The Agreement between the City and Easter Seals-Central Texas (Contract No. <br /> 223-274) as certified by WorkQuest, a State purchasing cooperative, for vegetation and litter <br /> control and landscape maintenance for a one-year term in the estimated amount of$1,261,436.03 <br /> is approved. <br /> PART 3. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the Agreement on <br /> behalf of the City. <br /> PART 4.
