G. Phillips, Jane Hughson <br />and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration confirmation of two <br />appointments by the City Manager to the civil Service commission. <br />The City Manager requested these appointments be tabled to the next <br />meeting. Mr. Hernandez moved to table consideration of the <br />appointments and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two <br />appointments to the Library Board. Mr. Moore moved to appoint <br />Angelita Garcia-Alonzo, Mayor Morris moved to appoint Margie <br />Villalpando and Ms. Kissler moved to appoint Melvia Randle. The <br />City Council advised Mr. Moore Ms. Alonzo moved to Austin and would <br />not be eligible for appointment at this time, so Mr. Moore withdrew <br />his nomination. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of <br />Ms. Villalpando and Ms. Randle. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three <br />appointments to the Zoning Commission. Mr. Hernandez moved to <br />appoint Ruben Garza and Rachel Vasquez, Mr. Hart moved to appoint <br />Terry Jester, Mr. Moore moved to appoint Jane Hughson and Ms. <br />Kissler moved to reappoint Jane wilson. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />Moore: Garza, Vasquez, Hughson. <br />Hernandez: wilson, Garza, Vasquez. <br />Hart: Vasquez, Hughson, Jester. <br />Morris: Vasquez, Hughson, Jester. <br />Guerra: Vasquez, Hughson, Jester. <br />Kissler: Wilson, Vasquez, Jester. <br />Plummer: Vasquez, Hughson, Jester. <br /> <br />The three new members to the Zoning commission are Rachel Vasquez, <br />Jane Hughson and Terry Jester. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four <br />appointments to the Planning Commission, at least one of the four to <br />live in the ETJ of the City (as per Charter Amendment from the May, <br />1990 Election). Mr. Hart moved to appoint Mike Davis, a current <br />Planning Commissioner residing in the City limits who is moving into <br />the ETJ, as the ETJ representative, Mr. Moore moved to appoint Rene <br />Morales who resides in the City's ETJ, Mr. Hernandez moved to <br />appoint Lala Garcia, Ms. Kissler moved to reappoint W. W. McElroy <br /> <br />* Mr. Plummer left the meeting at 9:20 p.m., and Mr. Hernandez left <br />at 12:10 a.m. <br />
