RESOLUTION 2025-121R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE REVISED TERMS AND <br /> CONDITIONS OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND HAYS COUNTY FOR THE CITY TO <br /> PROVIDE HAYS COUNTY WITH ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO <br /> EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. By adoption of Resolution No. 2024-147R, the City Council previously approved <br /> an interlocal agreement for the provision of animal shelter services to Hays County. <br /> 2. Hays County requested revisions to the agreement before it would approve the <br /> agreement. <br /> 3. Staff has negotiated a revised agreement with Hays County which will supersede <br /> the agreement previously approved by the City Council. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The interlocal agreement between the City of San Marcos and Hays <br /> County to provide Hays County with animal shelter services is approved and supersedes the <br /> agreement approved by Resolution No. 2024-147. <br /> PART 2. This interlocal agreement is entered into pursuant to the Interlocal <br /> Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code. <br /> PART 3. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the revised <br /> interlocal agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after <br /> its passage. <br /> ADOPTED on July 1, 2025. <br /> ane Hughson �J <br /> Mayor <br />
