REGIONA <br />SOLID GRANTS PROGRAMGRANT;AUTHORIZING <br />THOMAIDES,DIRECTOR 1 11' 111 <br />ENHANCEMENT 1 RESOURCE RECOVERY,1 ACT ON BEHA <br />, <br />1OF SAN MARCOS, IN ALL MATTERS RELATED T <br />L <br />I$ <br />THE APPLICATION; 1 PLEDGING THAT IF A GRANT <br />RECEIVED THE CITY OF SAN MARCOSCOMPLY <br />GRANT1 OF THE CAPITALAREA 1 1 <br />GOVERNMENTS,1 1 ON ENVIRONMENT <br />QUALITY,1 THE STATE 1, ) DECLARING <br />DATE.EFFECTIVE <br />WHEREAS, the Capital Area Council of Governments (COG) is directed by the Texas <br />Commission on Environmental Quality to administer solid waste grant funds for implementation <br />of the COG's adopted regional solid waste management plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos in the State of Texas is qualified to apply for grant <br />funds under the Request for Applications. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS; <br />PART 1. That Amy Thomaides, Assistant Director of Neighborhood Enhancement <br />and Resource Recover, is authorized to request grant funding under the Capital Area Council of <br />Governments Request for Applications of the Regional Solid Waste Grants Program and act on <br />behalf of the City of San Marcos in all matters related to the grant application and any subsequent <br />grant contract and grant project that may result. <br />PART 2. That if the project is funded, the City of San Marcos will comply with the <br />grant requirements of the Capital Area Council of Government, the Texas Commission on <br />Environmental Quality, and the State of Texas. <br />PART 3. The grant funds and any grant funded equipment or facilities will be used <br />only for the purposes for which they are intended under the grant. <br />PART 4. Activities will comply with and support the adopted regional and local solid <br />waste management plans adopted for the geographical area in which the activities are performed. <br />PART 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effective immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />
