RESOLUTION NO.2026-OIR <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS DESIGNATING THE PROPOSED ROADWAY, <br />CONNECTING FM 110 TO THE SAN MARCOS REGIONAL AIRPORT, <br />TO BE NAMED GEORGE CARRUTHERS WAY; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE NAMING ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />WHEREAS, the FM 110 Connection Drive Project includes a new roadway connecting <br />FM 110 to the San Marcos Regional Airport; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Marcos City Council celebrates the life of Lieutenant Colonel George <br />C. Carruthers for his 30 years of service to the United States Air Force and his contributions to the <br />San Marcos Community. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PARTI. The roadway starting at FM-110, ending at Airport Drive, and running parallel <br />to SH-21 as depicted on the map attached, shall be officially named George Carruthers Way. <br />PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to support the naming of the <br />roadway on behalf of the city. <br />PART 3.
