RESOLUTION NO.2026-19R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPOINTING A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />TO THE CENTRAL TEXAS CLEAN AIR COALITION FOR THE 2026- <br />2027 TERM; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The Central Texas Clean Air Coalition, herein after known as the "Clean Air <br />Coalition" members are organizations that support the regional efforts to improve and protect air <br />quality in the Austin -Round Rock -San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). <br />2. General members of the Clean Air Coalition shall be local governments or <br />Independent School Districts within the Austin -Round Rock -San Marcos MSA that have ratified <br />the current clean air plan, committing to implementing selected emission reduction measures. <br />3. Each general member must appoint one elected official from their governing body <br />to serve on the Clean Air Coalition. <br />4. The appointed elected official will participate in the Clean Air Coalition <br />representing the City of San Marcos in accordance with the coalition bylaws. <br />5. The City shall provide written notification to the CAPCOG staff liaison of the <br />appointed Clean Air Coalition representative. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. Jane Hughson is hereby appointed as the City's representative to the Clean <br />Air Coalition for the term beginning January 2026 and set to expire on December 31, 2027. <br />PART 2.
