A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE SALE OF A TRACT OF PROPERTY <br />IDENTIFIED AS LOT C, BLOCK 1, B.W. BREEDING ADDITION, SAN <br />MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 712 CENTRE <br />STREET, ACQUIRED BY THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, AS TRUSTEE FOR ALL TAXING <br />ENTITIES, FOR UNPAID PROPERTY TAXES, TO GREENWOOD <br />BROTHERS LIVING TRUST FOR $5,000.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE ANY DEED OR <br />INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE SALE; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, as trustee for all taxing units, <br />acquired the tract of property identified as Lot C, Block 1, B.W. Breeding Addition, City of San <br />Marcos, Hays County, Texas, Parcel ID No. R21956 (the "Property") through a sheriffs sale of <br />the Property for unpaid taxes. <br />2. An offer from Greenwood Brothers Living Trust to purchase the Property for $5,000.00, <br />which is less than the amount of taxes owed on the Property, and less than the appraised value of <br />the Property has been submitted for consideration and is recommended for acceptance. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The sale of the Property to Greenwood Brothers Living Trust for $5,000.00 is <br />approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute a deed and any <br />related instruments necessary to complete such sale on behalf of the city. <br />PART 3.
