106 RESOLUTION 1987-l3~R A RF~OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE OF SAID CITY TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CAPITAL AREA HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos approved the creation of the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation by Resolution No. 1981-66R on October 12, 1981; and, WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos is one of eight cities or towns which together sponsor the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation; and, WHEREAS, the Articles of Incorporation of the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation provide that each local governmental unit sponsoring the corporation shall appoint a representative to serve on said corporation's board of directors for a term of two years or until his or her successor is appointed; and, WHEREAS, Tess Norris has served on the board of directors of the Capital Area housing Finance Corporation since its inception; and, WHEREAS, the term of office of the representative to the corporation's board of directors will expire in October, 1987; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue to have a representative of the City on the board of directors of the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation; now, therefore, BE TEXAS: IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, PART 1. That Tess Norris, a resident of the City of San Marcos, is hereby appointed to a two-year term representing the City of San Marcos on the Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors. PART 2.
