0 RESOLUTION 2010-30R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SUPPORTING ANNEXATION <br />OF THE CITY INTO THE AUSTIN COMMUNITY <br />COLLEGE DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The City Council recognizes the importance of comprehensive community <br />college programs and services for the residents of San Marcos and the role community <br />colleges play in the state of Texas' Closing the Gaps Initiative and in promoting economic <br />development. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That the City Council of City of San Marcos hereby supports annexation <br />of the City of San Marcos into the Austin Community College District. <br />PART 2. That the City Manager may sign such letters or other documents <br />evidencing the City Council's support for annexation into the Austin Community College <br />District consistent with this Resolution. <br />PART 3.
