<br />122 <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OCTOBER 20, 1916 <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock <br /> Councilmen Ted Breihan <br /> Robert L. Cavazos <br /> John Hansen <br />I Berry R. James <br /> Kenneth E. Sutton <br /> City Manager J James B. Baugh <br /> City Attorney Charles E. Evans <br /> City Secretary .'...' Doriss Hambrick <br /> Director of Public Works William T. Friedrich <br />Absent: Councilman Frank T. Arredondo <br /> <br />Also present: Kelly Kilber; James B. Byrn; Dottie Simms; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 4:45 p~m. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the proposed improvements to Fredericksburg Street with <br />regard to establishment of a right-of-way boundary along the street. The City <br />Attorney presented a Resolution setting forth the city policy regarding the <br />establishment of a clearly defined public right-of-way on Fredericksburg Street <br />,from San Antonio Street to Comal Street, and the future paving of said street. <br />Discussion centered around two parts of the Resolution which read as follows: <br /> <br />". ',' policy shall include the following provisions: <br /> <br />(2) The permanent marking of the-lines of said right-of-way by iron'pins <br />at pertinent property corners along s~id right-of-way. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(4) The abandonment by the City of all private property now believed to lie <br />in the public right-of-way, save and except for the width of 25 feet to <br />be established and marked." <br /> <br />Mr. Breihan suggested both paragraphs be deleted from the Resolution. Mayor <br />Craddock read the resolution as it appears on the attachment. The caption is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />SETTING FORTH CITY POLICY REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CLEARLY <br />DEFINED PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ON FREDERICKSBURG STREET FROM SAN ANTONIO <br />STREEr TO COMAL STREET; AND THE FUTURE PAVING OF SAID STREEr. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved the Resolution be adopted as read by Mayor Craddock. <br />Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
