./ 130 REGULAR MEE:rING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOVEMBER 22, 1976 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock I Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Robert L. Cavazos John Hansen Berry R. James Kenneth E. Sutton City Manager City Attorney City Secretary Director of Public Works Director of Finance James B. Baugh Charles E. Evans Doriss Hambrick William T. FriecITich Earl T. Williams Also present: Jake Krauskopf; Melissa Millecam; Terry Roberts; Joe Rodriguez; Felipe Reyes; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 8, 1976 were approved on moti/on of Mr. Hansen and second of Mr. Cavazos. Mr. Arredondo moved to appoint Joe Rodriguez to the Fair Housing Commission. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion., On roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: Breihan, Craddock, Hansen, James, Sutton, Arredondo NAY: None ABSTAIN: Cavazos. Mr. Arredondo moved to permit a mobile home to be located on Lot 16 of the Weatherford Addition, 805 Georgia Street, by Felipe Reyes. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion. Mr. Reyes stated the mobile home was a larger one to replace a mobile home currently on the lot. The motion to temporarily permit the mobile home was unanimously approved. The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in the zoning of one acre out of a 14.68-acre tract in the Sunset Acres Addition from "R-l" to "P_l". The applicant, Iglesia Bautista Emanuel, was represented by a deacon of the church. No opposition to the change was presented. The Mayor closed the hearing and read ah Ordinance having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENIDNG SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF ONE ACRE OF A 14.68-ACRE THACT IN THE SUNSE:r ACRES ADDITION, LOCATED ON BROADWAY STREET, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "E:-l" (PUBLIC). Mr. Cavazos moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Hansen se,:onded the motion, which passed unanimously. I The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE FINAL ESTIMATE SUBMITTED BY L010 ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE SPRING LAKE PUMP STATION PURSUANT TO THEIR CONTRACT WITH THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE FINAL PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID ESTIMATE. Mr. Breihan moved the Resolution be adoyted. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
