C. Carson, Jimmy Parker, Hollis Smith, <br />Jeff Watkins, Gary Bond and others. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Cavazos <br />moved that the Council recess to executive session to discuss <br />the item under consideration with the City Attorney. Council <br />reconvined in regular session at 3:15 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hyatt <br />and second of Mr. Tenorio. The Mayor reported that the Council <br />had discussed the proposed settlement offer with the City Attorney. <br />Mayor Hansen then opened the item for discussion by the Council. <br />Mr. Sutton asked Mr. Parker, a representative of Haysco Water <br />Supply Corporation, if he would be ameniable to selling the <br />Haysco Water System to the City of San Marcos. Mr. Parker said <br />that he had authorized his agent to quote a price of $355,000 <br />for sale of the system. Questioned further by Mr. Sutton, Mr. <br />Parker agreed that he would take that amount for the system if <br />the City wished to buy it immediately. Council discussed the <br />specific provisions of the proposed settlement offer. At 4:00 p.m. <br />Mr. Cavazos moved the Council reconvine in executive session <br />to discuss the matter further with the City Attorney. Mr. Sutton <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvined in regular session at 4:20 p.m. on motion <br />of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. James. The Mayor reported that <br />the Council had further discussed the settlement agreement proposed <br />by Mr. Parker and Haysco Water Supply Corporation. Mr. Tenorio <br />moved to deny a joint motion to dispense with a hearing and enter <br />an order granting certificates of convenience and necessity with <br />Haysco Water Supply Corporation as proposed by Haysco. Mr. Cavazos <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mr. Sutton asked <br />Mr. Parker to present a proposal to City Council regarding possible <br />purchase of the Haysco Water System. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hyatt and second <br />of Mr. Tenorio. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />ATIEST: !
