<br />9 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1979- 55. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLurION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of TIlE CITY Of <br />SPN MARCOS, TEXAS, FURTHER SUSPENDING TIlE OPERATION <br />OF PROPOSED RATE SCflEDULES fILED BY LOWER COLORADO <br />RIVF.R AUTHORITY fOR PN ADDITIONAL PERIOD Of TIIIRTY <br />(30) DAYS BEYOND TIlE ORIGINAL SUSPENSION OF ONE <br />HUNDRED TIJENTY (120) DAYS BEYOND APRIL 25, 1979, <br />TIlE DATE ON vl!lICf! SAID SCHEDULES WOULD HAVE <br />OTIlER'i'iISE GONE INTO EFfECT. <br /> <br />MlEREAS, Lower Colorado River Authority did, on March 21, 1979, file <br />a schedule of rates for electric service within the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />to become effective on April 25, 1979; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on April 16, 1979, did suspend the operation <br />of said p=posed new schedules for a period of one hundred twenty (120) <br />days beyond April 25, 1979; and, <br /> <br />v]HEREAS, the City Oouncil has determined that additional time is needed <br />for final determination; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. Pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility Regulatory <br />Act, the operation of the Lower Colorado River Authority's p=posed rate <br />schedules filed with the City of San Marcos, Texas, on March 21, 1979, <br />is hereby suspended for an additional period of thirty (30) days beyond <br />the original suspension of one hundred twenty (120) days , resulting in <br />a cumulative suspension of one hundred fifty (150) days beyond April 25, <br />1979, the date on which said proposed new rate schedules would have <br />otherwise gone into effect. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PART 2.
