36 resolution no. 63 I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER, FINANCE DIRECTOR, SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR, AND CITY SECRETARY TO JOINTLY SIGN CHECKS OR OTHER INSTRUMENTS FOR THE DISBURSEMENT OF CITY FUNDS; AND REQUIRING THE SIGNATURE OF ANY TWO OF SAID PERSONS ON ANY CHECK OR OTHER INSTRUMENT FOR DISBURSEMENT OF CITY FUNDS FOR SUCH CHECK OR INSTRUMENT TO BE VALID. WHEREAS, the Hays County National Bank was duly designated as a depository for the City of San Marcos, Texas, by Resolution , adopted by the City Council of the City of San Marcos on September 10, 1979; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate representatives of the City, and to authorize said representatives to sign and countersign checks and other instruments utilized for the disbursement of City funds; and, WHEREAS, the most appropriate representatives for said purpose are the Mayor, City Manager, Finance Director, Senior Accountant, Community Services Director, and City Secretary; and, I WHEREAS, the grant of authority to said named representatives should be conditioned upon the requirement that two of the designated representatives must affix their signatures jointly on each single cheCk or instrument for the disbursement of City funds before such check or instrument shall be valid; now, therefore, aE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS I Part 1. That the following persons are hereby designated and authorized to jointly affix their signature for the purpose of disbursing City funds on behalf of the City of San Marcos: 1. Mayor John A. Hansen or his successor 2. City Manager 3. Finance Director Earl T. Williams or his successor 4. Senior Accountant Evelyn Honea or her successor 5. Community Services Director Albert Sierra or his successor 6. City Secretary Doriss Hambrick or her successor Part 2. That no check or other instrument for the disbursement of City funds shall bea.vlid for such purpose unless or until the signatures of at least two (2) of the above designated persons appear jointly thereon. I Part 3. That the authorization contained herein shall not be limited to transaction with but shall extend to financial transactions with other persons, banks and financial institutions, not otherwise limited by the City Council of the City of San Marcos.
