<br />36 <br /> <br />resolution no. 63 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER, FINANCE DIRECTOR, <br />SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, COMMUNITY SERVICES <br />DIRECTOR, AND CITY SECRETARY TO JOINTLY <br />SIGN CHECKS OR OTHER INSTRUMENTS FOR THE <br />DISBURSEMENT OF CITY FUNDS; AND REQUIRING <br />THE SIGNATURE OF ANY TWO OF SAID PERSONS <br />ON ANY CHECK OR OTHER INSTRUMENT FOR <br />DISBURSEMENT OF CITY FUNDS FOR SUCH <br />CHECK OR INSTRUMENT TO BE VALID. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hays County National Bank was duly <br />designated as a depository for the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, by Resolution , adopted by the City Council <br />of the City of San Marcos on September 10, 1979; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate representatives <br />of the City, and to authorize said representatives to sign <br />and countersign checks and other instruments utilized for <br />the disbursement of City funds; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the most appropriate representatives for said <br />purpose are the Mayor, City Manager, Finance Director, <br />Senior Accountant, Community Services Director, and City <br />Secretary; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the grant of authority to said named <br />representatives should be conditioned upon the requirement <br />that two of the designated representatives must affix their <br />signatures jointly on each single cheCk or instrument <br />for the disbursement of City funds before such check or <br />instrument shall be valid; now, therefore, <br /> <br />aE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS I <br /> <br />Part 1. <br /> <br />That the following persons are hereby designated <br />and authorized to jointly affix their signature <br />for the purpose of disbursing City funds on behalf <br />of the City of San Marcos: <br /> <br />1. Mayor John A. Hansen or his successor <br />2. City Manager <br />3. Finance Director Earl T. Williams or his <br />successor <br />4. Senior Accountant Evelyn Honea or her <br />successor <br />5. Community Services Director Albert Sierra <br />or his successor <br />6. City Secretary Doriss Hambrick or her successor <br /> <br />Part 2. <br /> <br />That no check or other instrument for the disbursement <br />of City funds shall bea.vlid for such purpose unless <br />or until the signatures of at least two (2) of the <br />above designated persons appear jointly thereon. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Part 3. <br /> <br />That the authorization contained herein shall not <br />be limited to transaction with <br />but shall extend to financial transactions with other <br />persons, banks and financial institutions, not <br />otherwise limited by the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos. <br />
