138 ORDINANCE NO. 54 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT PORTION OF THE STREET KNOWN AS "REDWOOD ROAD" THAT IS LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY AND ORDERING THE CITY SECRETARY AND DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ENTER SAID CHANGE IN AND UPON OFFICIAL RECORDS AND NAPS. I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is of the opinion that the portion of that certain street known as "Redwood Road" that is located within the corporate limits of said City should be changed in name to "Wonder l>lorld Drive" in recognition of the presence of the entertainment park known as Wonder World in said City; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION I. That the portion of that certain street known as "Redwood Road" that is located within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said portion extending in a northwesterly direction from Interstate Highway 35 to the city limits of said City, shall hereafter be known as and named "Wonder World Drive". SECTION 2. That the City Secretary and Director of Public Wovks, be, and are hereby, ordered to enter said change in name in and on all official records and maps. SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading December 10, 1979. I PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading December 11, 1979.
