92. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2004 - 69 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPROVING A MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT WITH HAYS COUNTY <br />TO ENSURE COORDINATION OF RESOURCES AND EMERGENCY <br />RESPONSE FOR HOMELAND SECURITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />The Capital Area Planning Council (CAPCO), in conjunction with the ten counties comprising <br />CAPCO, has developed a mutual aid agreement for use between the counties and their <br />respective cities. <br /> <br />The agreement governs such matters as the activation of the agreement, procedures for <br />requests and responses for assistance, supervision of personnel, use of equipment, and <br />insurance and liability issues. <br /> <br />3. Mutual aid agreements such as this help ensure federal funding for necessary security <br /> equipment. <br /> <br />4. The City desires to enter into this agreement with Hays County. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1.
