<br />36 <br /> <br />AN ORD INANCE II 1974 - 42 <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING AN EMERGENCY <br />OPERATIONS PLAN FOR THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Emergency Operations Plan for the City <br />of San Marcos has been prepared by the City's Civil defense <br />Office and City Department heads, and its approval and <br />adoption by the City Couneil is recommended; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the Basic Emergency Operations Plan <br />for the City of San Mareos is hereby approved for use by <br />all city departments, agencies, and employees. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. A copy of the above deseribed plan dated <br />consisting of ~ages is attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That urgent necessity requires that this <br />ordinance be passed as an emergeney measure for the immee <br />diate preservation of the public peace, property, health, <br />welfare, and safety of said City and its inhabitants; <br />therefore, the provisions of the Charter of the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, which ordinarily requires ordinances <br />to be read on three (3) several days and that no ordinance <br />shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) <br />days following the dates of its final passage be dis- <br />pensed with.
