<br />1973-18-R <br /> <br />/7-q <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, on February 12, 1973, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />approved funds for operation of a Drug Education program by <br /> <br />Hays-Caldwell Community Action Agency; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as certain drugs become harder to get, the patterns <br /> <br />of drug abuse change, making it essential that a set of <br /> <br />rei iable indicators be developed which can tell us which <br /> <br />drug is being used, where, and with what consequences; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of the Drug Education Program is to insure <br /> <br />that no one suffers injuries out of ignorance of these <br /> <br />consequences: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />would desire to enter into participation with Southwest Texas <br /> <br />State University for the purpose of a drug analysis program <br /> <br />using the laboratory facil ittes of the University to analyze <br /> <br />various types of drugs. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this the 23rd day of July, 1973. <br /> <br />J.~el;f~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />[)~~ <br /> <br />Doriss Hambrick <br />City Secretary <br />
