113 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 13, 1981 PRESENT: Mayor Pro-Tem Berry R. James Council Member's Karl W. Brown Robert L. Cavazos John A. Womack Barbara Edwards Robert Minnie George Boeker Also Present: Jeff Watkins, Dr. Ken Long, Jerri Martin, Rick Fisher, Frances Emery, Billy Moore, John. Sanford, Dinah Elwell, Jerome Cates, Jim Byrn, Joe Froh, Kelly Kilber, Curtis Adrian, Ollie~Giles, Don Hyder, Harold Bryant, Greg Echols and others. The Mayor Pro-Tem called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. James introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held June 17, 1981. Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 22~ 1981. Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the minutes and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held June 29, 1981. Mr. Brown moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held July 6, 1981. Mr. Brown moved to approve the minutes and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown moved that the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to Sections 2(f) and 2(e), Art. 6252-17, V.A.C.S., to discuss land ac- quisition and pending litigation and Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council remained in Executive Session for approximately thirty minutes. Mr. Kreczmer moved that Council convene from Executive Session and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Cavazos moved that John W. Davidson of Sawtelle, Goode, Davidson & Troilo, of San Antonio, Texas, be employed to represent the City in regard to the pending litigation against the City and Planning and Zoning Commission and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James introduced for consideration authorization to retain an engi- neer for preliminary investigation of a proposed landfill site. Mr. Brown moved that Kelly Kilber be employed ifor this preliminary investi- gation and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James introduced for consideration the nomination of Don Hyder to the Master Plan Committee. Mr. James moved that Don Hyder be approved as a member of the Master Plan Committee and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. * Mrs. Norris was not present at this meeting.
