154 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 19 81-60 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTIONS 29-123 AND <br />29-152(c) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY <br />TO ADD EIGHT LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID CITY AT WHICH <br />PARKING SHALL BE PROHIBITED; TO ADD FOUR LOCATIONS <br />WITHIN SAID CITY WHICH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS TOW- <br />AWAY ZONES AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after study of current parking problems within the corporate <br />limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Robert E. Minnie, Director of <br />Public Safety for said City, has recommended certain areas at which park- <br />ing should be prohibited and other areas which should be designated as tow- <br />away zones; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of said City, having examined said recommenda- <br />tions, hereby finds and determines that said locations should be added as <br />no parking areas and tow-away zones; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That section 29-123 of the Code of Ordinances, City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 29-123. No parking. <br /> <br /> In accordance with the terms of this chapter, and when signs <br />are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall parka vehicle <br />upon any of the following described streets or parts of streets: <br /> <br />Alley, South of Jackson Lane, both sides. <br /> <br />Armstrong Street, South side, Guadalupe Street to <br />MacArthur Street. <br /> <br />Blanco Street, West side, Hopkins Street to San <br />Antonio Street. <br /> <br />Blanco Street, West side, Hutchison Street to Burleson <br />Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and ~5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Blanco Street, East and west sides, Hutchison Street <br />to Hopkins Street. <br /> <br />Bugg Lane, both sides Missouri-Pacific railroad tracks <br />to Hopkins Street. <br /> <br />Burleson Street, South side from R.R. 12 (Moore Street) <br />to Blanco Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 <br />p.m. with a loading zone starting at a point 150 feet <br />west of R.R. 12 (Moore Street) to a point 200 feet west <br />of R.R. 12 (Moore Street). <br /> <br />Cheatham Street, both sides, from Guadalupe Street to <br />L.B.J. Drive. <br /> <br />Chestnut Street, North side, L.B.J. Drive to Lamar Street. <br /> <br />C.M. Allen Parkway, East side, Cheatham Street to University <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Comanche Street, East side from Hopkins Street to Comal <br />Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
